The recording details, as far as I can remember:

'Innocents and English Men' by Patrick

Pat Fish (JB) Vocals, sax and lyrics

Pete (Max) Guitar, vocals
Rolo (of Woodentops fame??) bass and vocals
John (?) on drums, I think, who was a car worker at British Leyland
Jonathan Stephenson on synth, mini Korg and Rhodes piano (now jazz pianist, www.jazzharmony.com)

recorded on a clapped out old 2(maybe 4) track tape deck in Oxford Uni recording society by a guys whose name I have forgotten, but might be Andy, on a homemade desk. This was the first of two tapes we recorded between 76 and 80.

Fish, Pete and Rolo continued on for a few years in the band which was called the Institution (the second of the bands Pat formed at Oxford, the first was called Night Shift and the tape I have is really nasty). I left in 1979 when it got too punky for me, about the time they cut their first single, + changed drummers to Owen. After a year or so the JB concept was started by Pat as far as I know.
